Thank you for considering a partnership opportunity during Arizona’s One Week, Two Amazing Math Events in summer 2026. Arizona is proud to host the 2026 National Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) Conference, taking place June 28–30, 2026. The CGI conference will attract over 500 participants in grades PreK - 7th Grade.


We are also excited to announce the inaugural Math in the Sun Conference, scheduled for July 1–2, 2026. This state level conference will attract 300 participants in grades PreK-Algebra 2.


While these conferences are designed as two distinct events, sponsors and exhibitors may take advantage of a BOGO-style discount by supporting and/or exhibiting at both mathematics conferences—maximizing visibility and impact across an entire week of high-quality professional learning for mathematics educators.

Cognitively Guided Instruction

The 2026 National Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) Conference will be a dynamic two-day professional learning experience designed to illuminate children’s mathematical thinking and celebrate powerful, student-centered instruction. Grounded in decades of research, CGI positions students as capable sense-makers and problem solvers. Instruction begins with what students already know and builds intentionally on their intuitive strategies and emerging understandings. The National CGI Conference will highlight sessions focused on CGI research, implementation strategies, problem solving, and other hot topics in education.

The National CGI Conference takes place every other year.

Join us for Arizona’s inaugural math education event, Math in the Sun, on July 1–2 at the stunning Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale! The Math In the Sun Conference celebrates innovation, collaboration, and creativity in mathematics education.   • If canceled more than 60 days prior to the event, AML will refund your payment minus a 10% processing fee.
  • If canceled 30-60 days prior to the event, AML will refund your 50% of your payment.
  • If canceled less than 30 days prior to the event, no refund will be provided.

The CGI Conference will have exhibits open on the afternoon of the preconference on June 28th from 1pm- 5pm.  Exhibits will continue throughout the days of the CGI conference on June 29th and June 30th.


The Math in the Sun conference will have exhibits open on the afternoon of July 1st and until about 2pm on July 2nd.
