Kristen is currently a K-12 Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction Coach for the Peoria Unified School District and has had this position for the past 5 years. She has been a teacher for over 25 years and has taught in three different states every subject and in all grade levels kindergarten through eighth grade, but found that mathematics education was her calling and has focused her attentions there for the past 20 years. She oversees the development and implementation of district mathematics curriculum and creates and offers professional development for all mathematics teachers. Kristen was awarded the Pride of Peoria Outstanding Employee of the Year in 2012 and has served on numerous curriculum and assessment committees throughout Arizona. She works with EdReports.org as a Lead Facilitator making sure that textbook companies are aligned to the Common Core mathematics standards and are rigorous enough to prepare our children for College and Career. She also works as an adjunct professor at Ottawa University teaching mathematics teacher preparation courses. Kristen received her Bachelor of Science in Education at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH and her master of education in educational leadership from Concordia University.
